Shower partner with love

Saturday is Valentine's Day and that means spending time with your partner and showing them how much they mean to you.

Saturday is Valentine's Day and that means spending time with your partner and showing them how much they mean to you.

This is a perfect occasion to exchange gifts to symbolise love.

February 14 is the perfect occasion for that romantic proposal and perhaps to take dating to the next level.

On this day, give your sweetheart flowers, especially roses, soft toys, candles, diamonds, chocolates, gift baskets, perfume, books, watches, jewellery and other gifts.

Shower them with love and enjoy the day. During this marvelous day loving hearts come closer and romance fills the air.

But choosing Valentine's Day gifts is not easy. The shops are filled with Valentine's products. The important thing is to remember what you want your gift to mean.

Though you want your present to mean something, it does not have to be expensive, especially now in these difficult economic times.

Instead of buying expensive gifts, you can get your partner a simple gift from the heart.

You can cook your partner a beautiful dinner instead of going out to an expensive eatery. This is more special because you could cook them something they really like and that dinner at home is more intimate than an expensive outing.

If you feel like splurging, surprising him/her with a health spa gift voucher could make a really romantic gift for a lover who deserves a break. Better still, you can save money and give him a massage at home.

Books also make perfect gifts. Get a book that your partner has always wanted or one by their favourite author.

Or you can get your partner tickets to a live event, either their favourite musician's show or a theatre play.

Happy Valentine's Day.
