Seventy-five new cholera cases were recorded in Limpopo yesterday, bringing to 4167 the total number of cases that have been recorded since the outbreak of the disease last November.

Despite the high figure, the spokesman for the provincial department of health and social development, Phuti Seloba, said yesterday there was "a decline" in the number of cholera cases being reported in the Sekhukhune district.

He said this was as a result of the emergency measures they had put in place to deal with the waterborne disease.
