Joseph Shabalala and his merry band of choristers are making a habit of winning Grammy awards - they won their third yesterday.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo, South Africa's best-loved musical export, picked up the US recording industry's top award for Ilembe, a record honouring Shaka Zulu, against the toughest international competition in the traditional world music album category.

Going strong since Shabalala founded the a capella isicathamiya group in 1964, they have been South Africa's top ambassadors on the international stage for at least the past 20 years.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo you always raise our spirits and make us proud. Here is to your next 45 years.
