Mpumalanga Black Aces get another chance to narrow the gap between themselves and National First Division (NFD) inland stream leaders when they host AmaTuks on Wednesday at Ackerville Stadium.

Amazayoni produced a splendid performance to beat table toppers Jomo Cosmos 1-0 on Saturday at this Witbank venue.

Madoda "Mbesuma" Motha scored the solitary goal.

Thabo "T-Bose" Moroape, Aces spokesman, said it was a sweet victory (over Cosmos).

"We are slowly but surely surging forward. Our aim is to use the two games we have in hand positively. This will enable us to catch up with the teams at the top."

Meanwhile, AmaTuks thrashed Witbank Spurs 4-0 at LC de Villiers.

Moving into the coastal stream, Carara Kicks' chances of winning the stream suffered a minor setback when they lost 1-2 to Vasco da Gama at Parow Park.

African Warriors pipped Nathi Lions 3-2.

Durban Stars chances of surviving the dreaded axe worsened as they went down 0-2 to Ikapa Sporting.

l Yesterday in a NFD Inland Stream fixture Winnerspark beat Black Leopards 2-1 to enhance their promotion chances at Seshego Stadium, reports Matome Lebea.

Winners' goals were scored by Civil Matsebula and Ndumiso Mabena.

Leopards got their goal from Joseph Lekata.

In another match yesterday Dynamos beat FC AK 2-1 at Eldorado Park.
