Since the African Youth Championships final was played in Kigali, Rwanda, last weekend, talk has been all about the apparently healthy future of the continent's football.

Amajita performed so well that the media has been singing their praises non-stop, and deservedly so.

Thus it was with interest that we watched as Ghana's Black Starlets demolished the Indomitable Cubs of Cameroon 2-0.

The African Soccer Television show is not about to let us forget that memorable game. The highlights will be screened on SABC1 Sport's Laduma programme on Sunday at 2.30pm.

Over and above that, the highlights will include an interview with Emmanuel Adebayor of Togo and English Premier League giants Arsenal, which was conducted while he was on a recent visit to his home country.

In it, the red hot striker talks about his youth days and his ambitions while also taking us into his world at Arsenal and in African football.

The 2009 CAF Confederations Cup has kicked off and ASTV was on hand to capture some moments in the first round, first leg game between Red Arrows of Zambia who beat Mundu FC of Zanzibar 6-0.

And, with the countdown in the programme's Gauteng2010 We are ready insert, ASTV speaks to the LOC's chief executive officer Danny Jordaan and the MEC for sports, arts, culture and recreation, Barbara Creecy.
