The trial date for the case in which Eshowe self-acclaimed prophet Emmanuel Manqele was charged with violation of the grave has been set for February 26.
Manqele, 54, was arrested last Thursday after he failed to honour his promise to raise a dead man from the grave.
Manqele appeared briefly before the Enkanyezini magistrate's court in Eshowe, where he was granted a R1000 bail.
Manqele, who also works as a laboratory assistant at Eshowe High School, made headlines last week when he instructed relatives of a 52-year-old man, Jabulani Xulu to exhume his body because God had told him to raise Xulu.
But all hell broke loose when Manqele failed to resurrect the dead man.
