The IFP Youth Brigade has threatened that its reaction to the ANC Youth League president's utterances that the ANC wants to recruit IFP leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi's children in Nongoma would not be mild.
The youth movement yesterday said Julius Malema will "find his match there [Nongoma]".
IFP youth leader, MPL and national deputy spokesman Thulasizwe Buthelezi challenged Malema to "bring it on".
"We promise Malema and the ANC that our reaction will not be mild. What the ANC has seen so far is a Sunday school picnic compared to what is to follow if they continue to provoke, insult and harass the IFP and its leader," he threatened.
Meanwhile, IFP president Buthelezi said he has taken personal note of what he called the "rabble-rousing statements" made by Malema. The IFP leader said if Malema did not withdraw the statements, he would refer the matter to the Human Rights Commission.
Malema had told thousands of ANC supporters in Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday that "the ANC would be returning to Nongoma and campaign even in the backyard of Buthelezi and at his home".
Said the youth brigade leader: "It is an act of extreme provocation and an unforgivable insult for Julius Malema to say that he will campaign in Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi's backyard, and that he will even go and recruit his children to join the ANC," .
"Julius Malema must come. We are waiting for him. He will arrive at Nongoma and find boys his own age who will teach him what happens to a loud-mouthed chatterbox imbecile like him."
"We don't care if he comes accompanied by 600 policemen. We assure him that it will be the last time he ever shoots his mouth off at the IFP," he said.
Last Sunday, ANC supporters who were attending a rally came under heavy attack from IFP supporters who had blockaded a road in Nongoma.
The situation was tense and police at one stage had to use stun grenades to disperse the unruly IFP supporters.
"We want to warn the ANC that they must not cry foul when IFP members react to their provocation," Buthelezi said.
