Limpopo police are offering a R25000 reward to anyone with information that will help them find a missing six-year-old girl and the man suspected to have kidnapped her.

Kholofelo Lebea left her home at Mamaolo village with a man who is allegedly known in the community on December 31 last year, and has not been seen since .

Police spokesman Captain Mamphaswa Seabi said Lebea was wearing a pink shirt and skirt and red shoes.

The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt and a white tracksuit.

Members of the community with the help of police have been conducting regular searches at the local mountains without success.

Seabi said members of the Child Protection Unit are working around the clock to find the girl or the man who could be her kidnapper.

Seabi said the problem of missing children was becoming a burning issue in the province.

Thirteen children between the ages of five and 13 were reported missing in Modimolle between 2004 and 2008.

Some of them were found dead and buried in shallow graves.

Two other children went missing from Motlana village near Senwabarwana in Limpopo about four years ago.

Seabi called on anyone with information regarding the young Lebea to contact the nearest police station.
