Jennifer Hudson is to follow up her triumphant return to public life with a six-week tour.

Jennifer Hudson is to follow up her triumphant return to public life with a six-week tour.

The singer and actress wowed sports fans watching the Super Bowl on Sunday with her first performance since the murders of her mother, brother and nephew in October drove her into hiding.

The Oscar winner sang the US national anthem before the big game. And now she's planning a tour this spring.

Her manager Damien Smith toldEW.com that Hudson will headline a theatre-sized tour in late March or early April.

Meanwhile, Buddhist leader the Dalai Lama has been hospitalised in New Delhi, India.

The spiritual teacher, who underwent an operation to remove gallstones in October last year, was admitted to hospital on Monday after complaining of "a mild discomfort" in his arms.

Spokesman Tenzin Taklha said the Dalai Lama was diagnosed with "a pinched nerve".

"He was feeling a tingling sensation in his arms and we therefore thought it necessary to get a thorough check-up. Doctors have said there was nothing to worry about." - Wenn
