Unless the DA provides concrete evidence, its assertion that "the vision of the ANC is that of a closed, patronage-based system for South Africa." will be treated as a figment of a fertile imagination.
It is a matter of public record that the ANC government has striven to open access to the majority, who have been denied not only socio-economic opportunities, but their birthright. It has also overseen an unprecedented economic growth that has made it possible that the dignity of our people is restored, more than 2,7 million houses with secure tenure built and more than 200000 sanitation buckets in formal settlements eradicated. It increased household electricity connections to more than 86 percent, increased access to sanitation from 48 to 73 percent and water supply from 59 to 86percent since 1994.
