Phindani Nene, Durban Stars chairman, is concerned by his team's failure to protect their leads but is optimistic that Isivunguvungu Segagasi will avoid relegation.

Lying at the bottom of the National First Division coastal stream log, Stars, who are mentored by Ramadhan Nsanzurwimo, have six games to pull themselves out of the fire.

But their cause was made worse when they were pipped 2-3 by Nathi Lions on Saturday Nathi Lions at Chatsworth Stadium.
