Seheri was a dedicated member of the ANC and also served the movement's women's league.
She was a founder and staunch member of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Africa, which is commonly known as Ebenezer Temple, in Dube, Soweto.
In 1988, she was appointed treasurer of the Woman Missionary Society. She was also actively involved in its evangelical movement.
Seheri was always involved in community programmes and she also gave her time to Belfast Burial Society and the Senior Citizens Social Club.
She was born on August 3 1927 on Badfontein farm in Lydenburg, Mpumalanga. She was the seventh child of the late Johannes and Getrude Mnisi.
Seheri completed her primary and secondary school education in Mpumalanga, then moved to Johannesburg to seek employment. She worked at Selected Fashions Dress Manufacturers in Jeppestown, Johannesburg, until her retirement from the company in 1988.
She married Jacob Seheri and the couple were blessed with seven children - one daughter and six sons.
Seheri is survived by three children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The service will take place at the AME Church in Africa in Dube tomorrow.
The cortege will leave the church for Avalon Cemetery in Soweto at 11.30am.
