Mirell Ventura is a professional model, a Mrs South Africa 2009 finalist, and wife of the reigning Mr South Africa Zino Ventura.

Once voted hottest FHM Model Of Deal Or No Deal, you can bet she takes extra care of her very trim figure.

With a four-day gym routine she maintains religiously, we felt guilty about making her the celeb of choice to test the various chocolate flavoured ice creams but luckily she turned out to be a good sport.

The test started with a Magnum Mini Mayan Mystica.

"I like the packaging. It's very smart and convenient," Mirell said. "But it's too soft and there is a cinnamon taste to it. Plus I don't like dairy ice cream and I prefer dark chocolate."

Her favourite Magnum flavour is Death by Chocolate because of its rich chocolate flavour.

The Häagen Dazs Choc Choc Chip ice cream, which was later to be crowned queen of the chocolate ice-creams, was up next.

"I love its size and it's the perfect ice cream to enjoy with the girls while watching a chick flick," she says.

She also uses this ice cream to make chocolate milkshakes because the "taste is smooth and I like the little chocolate chips in it".

Hubertos double choc luxury ice cream was next.

"I like the fact that it says low fat on the packaging. That way I won't feel guilty about eating it," she chuckled.

"The texture is soft and creamy but because it's dairy I'm not too keen on it."

Woolworths' chocolate dairy ice cream was crowned fist princess.

"This tastes a lot like the ice cream my husband and I ate when we were in Italy. It's soft and very creamy. No matter where I am it will always remind me of my honeymoon."

Nestle's Country Fresh chocolate fudge ice cream was next to strut its stuff.

"I like that it has a different taste. The fudge adds a dark taste to it, so it's not too bad tasting."

The final contestant was the OLA chocolate ice cream.

"It has a rough texture and a bit of a coffee taste and what's even better is that it has crunchy little chocolate pieces in it," she said.

Having decided who was to be crowned queen, Mirell took the Häagen Dazs ice cream home to celebrate.
