Mamelodi Sundowns spokesman Mahlatse Mphahlele says the club will do whatever it takes to hold on to winger Dillon Sheppard.

Mphahlele says this is also applicable to another Sundowns player who is said to be on his way out of the team, Josta Dladla.

While Platinum Stars chairman George Khunou has gone on record about their desire to bring Sheppard to Stars in six months times when the player's contract with the Brazilians comes to an end, Sheppard insists the only team he is currently talking to is Sundowns.

The winger says he is meeting with his agent Francesco Ferreri today to go over everything concerning his contract.

"I would like to concentrate only on my game and leave everything else for the agents to sort out," Sheppard says.

Khunou, though, thinks it is significant that Sheppard has not extended the contract with his team yet.

"While it is premature to discuss in the public domain what we are offering him, the player has been made an offer and the bottom line is that he has to decide for himself what is in his best interest," Khunou says.

Meanwhile Benedict Vilakazi has said he is 100 percent happy at Sundowns, is not considering moving anywhere and talk to the contrary has been a big surprise to him.

"There is nothing to it. Just because I did not play in our last match [the 1-0 league loss to Kaizer Chiefs] it is automatically assumed I would want to go," Vilakazi says.
