The Sol Plaatje Institute for Media Leadership at Rhodes University has organised three workshops for the media on how to cover the money-spinning 2010 World Cup, the first to take place on the African continent.

The Grahamstown university has joined forces with respected international journalist Jens Weinreich of Germany, who has covered many global international sports events.

The university's Levi Kabwato said the day-long workshops are set to take place in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town from January 26 to 30.
