No logo jam for Downs

Mamelodi Sundowns spokesman Mahlatse Mphahlele yesterday said the Ubuntu-Botho Investments Limited logo displayed on players' jerseys was from one of club president Patrice Motsepe's companies.

Mamelodi Sundowns spokesman Mahlatse Mphahlele yesterday said the Ubuntu-Botho Investments Limited logo displayed on players' jerseys was from one of club president Patrice Motsepe's companies.

Mphahlele said the company belonged to the Motsepe Foundation, a body established by the Sundowns owner and his wife, Precious Moloi.

Ubuntu- Botho, an empowerment company, has a 10 percent stake in Sanlam. Mphahlele also said an announcement pertaining to a sponsor would be made soon.

"We followed all procedures of the PSL and have registered the name. But Ubuntu is one of the companies owned by the president," Mphahlele said. - Linda Moreotsene
