Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
It was with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that we learnt of the untimely death of Ntombi Cynthia ka Plaatjie on January 9.
She was not just a good wife to Pan Africanist Movement president Thami ka Plaatjie but also a selfless and very intelligent woman.
Her death will leave a huge void in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her, particularly the many disadvantaged kids she took under her protective wings for such a long time.
Our sincere condolences go to the Ka Plaatjie family, friends, colleagues and to all Africanists as we mourn the passing of this great daughter of the soil.
