Mabhuti Khenyeza was on target again for Ajax Cape Town as the Urban Warriors pipped Thanda Royal Zulu 1-0 in an Absa Premiership match at Hammarsdale Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal yesterday.

Khenyeza struck in the opening minutes of the encounter.

Ajax started the match aggressively and Khenyeza nearly scored in the fourth and 22nd minutes.

Katlego Loke had a good chance to score for Amabhubezi, but missed in the eighth minute.

Franklin Cale came close for the Capetonians but missed the target in the 23rd minute.

The win yesterday saw Ajax reclaim the top spot on the log that was temporarily taken over by SuperSport United after the defending champions beat Orlando Pirates 1-0 on Saturday.

"We are happy to be back on top of the log and we will jealously protect our position," Thabiso "Shooz" Mekutu said.

Meanwhile, Morgan Shivambu and Davi Rancan scored in each half to give Moroka Swallows a 2-1 victory over Maritzburg United in Rustenburg yesterday.

Fadlu Davids scored for the visitors in the 66th minute.
