Rapulana Seiphemo and Kenneth Nkosi, the stars of the highly rated movie Jerusalema, are to release a feature film in April.

This time the two actors play the roles of writers, producers and actors - something both are doing for the first time in their careers.

Seiphemo has appeared in a number of prominent South African movies such as Hijack Stories , Tsotsi and recently Jerusalema .

On the small screen he plays Pheko Mokoena in Muvhango, which is running on SABC2.

The 90-minute movie, called The White Wedding, is about romance and race relations in the new South Africa.

Nkosi has among other shows been a presenter of The Toasty Show, appeared in Stokvel, Mzee wa Two Six and Fela's TV.

"The movie is based on a trip by road that Rapulana, myself and Jann Turner undertook 10 years ago to Cape Town," Nkosi explains.

"It explores and interrogates the reaction of people on the road seeing two black guys and a white woman travelling together. It was unusual at that time.

"It is partly comedy and partly romance, and the journey was a comedy of errors right from the start until the end."

Nkosi will play the role of Elvis while Seiphemo plays the role of Tumi. The film also features British actress Jodi Whittaker, who is known for her role in the Hollywood film Venus.
