MARRIAGES THAT ARE NO LONGER IN SEVENTH HEAVEN

H Prophets of doom predict that the fairy-tale marriage of celebrity couple Basetsana Makgalemele and Romeo Khumalo is headed for the rocks.

Word along the grapevine is that things are no longer as rosy as they were, especially since Khumalo had been working beyond the borders lately.

H The other marriage likely to hit troubled waters is that of Afro jazz diva Judith Sephuma and her photographer husband Siphiwe Mhlambi. Word doing the rounds is that Sephuma has started spending time in the studio with ex-hubby, musician Selaelo Selota.

H It is almost impossible that 2009 will see gospel singer Deborah Fraser back in the arms of her estranged husband and Nigerian pastor Sockey Okeke. They broke up after Fraser opened a domestic violence case against Okeke.

H Unless a miracle happens, Kelly Khumalo's former love Prosper Mkwaiwa will be very broke this year.

Mkwaiwa and his telly actress ex-wife Tina Jaxa are expected to share their estate after the divorce.

H We also predict another break-up and make-up from usual suspects Khanyisile Mbau and Mandla Mthembu. The scandal-prone couple will continue to hog the headlines, but not without occasional embarrassing situations.

H This might also be the year that gospel star Rebecca Malope finds love and decides to get hitched. We wish her well in that department because time is no longer on her side.

H Generations actress Sophie "Queen Moroka" Ndaba and Themba Ndaba might get back together. They seem to be nothing without each other. News of their fallout took a lot of people by surprise.

H The marriage of a former Limpopo premier has been hanging by a thread for a while. Ngoako Ramathlodi has for the past four years been living in Pretoria. His wife lives in their Polokwane home.
