We are not surprised by the SABC's Kaizer Kganyago's response (December 30) when he says that we are not on the electioneering period.
The question is, do we need to be in such a period to receive equal coverage for all political parties? We have grown used to political deployment, of which Kganyago is a product of.
The same goes to thestudent and youth wings of Azapo - they are never given any coverage whatsoever.
Recently, there was a national congress of Azayo, but nothing was mentioned about it in the media. But when it is the ANCYL, they will cover every aspect of it.
During student protests it is only the SRC members who are from Sasco, and Sasco members who are not even part of the SRC, who are interviewed - none of their Azasco comrades are given the platform.
Was the march by Azapo to the Union Buildings to former president Thabo Mbeki not newsworthy?
We as the student wing of Azapo call upon members of the Black Consciousness Movement at large to stop paying their TV licences because of the bias of the media in this country.
