The World Cup Local Organising Committee (LOC) has commended the national broadcaster for its initiative in promoting the 2009 Confederations Cup and 2010 World Cup.
Irvin Khoza, LOC chairman, said they were delighted that the SABC spread the message that South Africa is ready to host the world through its television and radio stations.
This was after Khoza met with Gab Mampone, the acting chief executive officer of the SABC to discuss a variety of issues relating to coverage of the game.
