School days are over for those matriculants who are lucky enough to have passed their last year of formal schooling.

The daunting task they are currently faced with is what l call a make-or-break forward step in their lives.

Some might join the free train to destruction (drugs and the low life), while others might join the popular bus to job-hunting, joining thousands who have been trying for many years at this famous and much-sought-after terminus.

A few lucky ones will be absorbed by several tertiary institutions in the country and abroad.

There will be those who will unfortunately be lost in the wilderness of seeking and short cuts in life, soon to be lost somewhere on the face of the earth.

The government, churches and several NGOs should join hands to help these souls make it in life by providing realistic, sufficient and easily accessible opportunities in their various categories.

Regardless of where they come from in the country, resources should be made available to be utilised by all, even those who come from the rural areas.
