I have noted recently that KFC has increased its prices by approximately 200percent.
What makes my blood boil is that the franchise is taking advantage of consumers who enjoy their chicken.
Every time I enter an outlet, I see new prices. Not going down, but always going up.
We know that there is an economic challenge across the world, but that does not give franchises like KFC the right to recover their losses from consumers.
Something must be done about this. It is getting out of hand.
There is a demand for KFC because people enjoy it. I believe that the majority who buy it are black people so it means our poor black peoplewho want to take their families to KFC outlets are exploited.Super profits are made at the expenses of the poor.
Only recently did I notice that the franchise donated to a charity.
I wonder what they did for social responsibility before?
I call upon consumer-rights organisations to investigate KFC's pricing policy.
We the consumers are sick and tired of being exploited. I propose that the Competition Commission investigates and if it finds any irregularities the franchise must be punished severely.
Prices must be reduced to a reasonable level.
