Mpumalanga Black Aces coach Sammy Troughton is confident that his charges will end their winless streak against Witbank Spurs, when the two sides meet tomorrow.
This National First Division Mpumalanga derby will be staged at Kwanyamazane Stadium, near Nelspruit.
Kickoff is at 3.30pm.
The two inland stream sides have met four times since Aces were re-established last year, drawing three times and Spurs winning one match 3-0.
"We need to fight for these three points to enhance our promotion chances. The boys are still motivated by our 5-2 victory over African Warriors. We are ready to beat them [Spurs]," said the confident Troughton yesterday.
Themba Mafu, Spurs' owner and assistant coach, admitted it will be a tough encounter considering that his boys are conceding goals unnecessarily.
"We have worked on our defence during the week and I am confident that we will not concede any goal on Saturday.
"We are ready for the battle," said Mafu.
In another match billed for tomorrow log leaders AmaTuks will host Black Leopards at LC de Villiers - the two sides fresh from Netbank Cup victories on Tuesday.
Jomo Cosmos are likely to collect maximum points against the inconsistent Dynamos at NkowaNkowa also tomorrow.
In the coastal stream, log leaders Carara Kicks are confident of ending the year on a high note at the expense of Nathi Lions.
The two sides meet at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium today, not tomorrow as initially planned.
