The Ajax Cape Town juggernaut is likely to roll over Platinum Stars when they meet in an Absa Premiership fixture at Mafikeng Stadium this afternoon.

The Telkom Knockout kings are on top of their game and getting an expert who would say they will lose to Stars was like finding a needle in a haystack yesterday.

Even the Tycoons' boss George Khunou rightfully admitted yesterday that they will face a Herculean task against the venturesome Cape club.

Khunou also revealed that they were expecting to clinch a deal with Jabu Mahlangu on Friday.

The Urban Warriors, who have also earned themselves the sobriquet of "The Spoilers", have the means to spoil Stars' party.

Miguel Gamondi's charges are buoyed by their 2-0 triumph over Mamelodi Sundowns last Sunday.

But they will require a tremendous effort to overcome Craig Rosslee's side for the crucial three points.

Rosslee has made it clear that they have forgotten about their success in Ziwa Mo and are focusing on their assignment against Stars.

Ajax will parade the Telkom Knockout trophy to their supporters on Saturday when they host Sundowns at Athlone Stadium.

The fact that a win today will see them reclaiming top spot on the log, should motivate Ajax.

While the hosts will be without three key players, Rosslee has everybody available for selection.

Their defence will also be more solid after the return of Eduardo Ferreira from suspension of .

Mabuthi Khenyeza, whose exploits in the knockout competition have boosted his chances of winning the award as the tournament's best player, is a key player for the visitors.

Gamondi will be without the laborious Stanley "Bingo" Kgatla and Edward Williams in midfield due to suspensions.

Lefa Mogaila is also out for the same reason.

Another match today will see Thanda Royal Zulu engaging the in-form Moroka Swallows at Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammersdale at 3.30pm.

Amabhubesi will be hoping to erase the memories of a 2-3 defeat to Free State Stars on Sunday, but The Beautiful Birds are not likely to be the doormats that Roger Palmgren and his charges will be looking for.
