Just this weekend six people were killed when the driver of a minibus taxi lost control of his vehicle near Izingolweni in KwaZulu-Natal.
The Inkatha Freedom Party has called on law enforcement agencies to increase visibility on the roads.
Citing reports that more than 91 000 motorists do not have legal driver's licences, the party says it is a fact that many road deaths in our country are caused by illegal drivers.
We pray that greater sense prevails on our roads and that motorists heed the advice that it is better to arrive late at their destination - than not at all.
