How different it was with the case of former cabinet minister Mosiuoa Lekota who, having been caught speeding, went to court and displayed his honesty by readily admitting his guilt.

After accepting his punishment like a man he went on to apologise to the nation for his misdemeanour.

It is this type of honest leadership that is an example to our young people in South Africa.

But sadly, in my opinion, there are not many such leaders still to be seen within the ranks of the governing party these days.
