When the dust settles tomorrow night Miss Ethiopia, Hibret Fekadu, should be crowned the most beautiful girl in the world.

Fekadu, pictured, is among the 109 girls at the Sandton Convention Centre competing for the 58th Miss World title.

Indeed, all the girls are beautiful but Sowetan's pick is the Ethiopian beauty - who has resembled a gracious smiling goddess while visiting various charities around Johannesburg.

However our loud-mouthed celebs are not waiting to hear the verdict of the experts.

They are already favouring our country's entrant to win the title.

Actor Muthodi Nosheshe, who is rooting for Miss South Africa's Tansey Coetzee, said there was "nothing exciting" about the other contestants.

"If what I have seen is anything to go by, the title will be ours.

"Tansey is a beautiful girl with exotic looks and has true charisma on the catwalk."

Top SABC sports reporter Walter Mokoena is also batting for Miss South Africa.

"Our girl has really got it. She has that international quality, is very intelligent and I think she will do very well in the question-and-answer session."

Mokoena added that it would be great for Coetzee to win the crown with the soccer World Cup coming up as she would be an excellent ambassador.

But music promoter Prosper Mkwaiwa's adoring eyes are set on Miss Swaziland, 20-year-old Tiffany Simelane.

"Tansey does not do it for me. I think Miss Swaziland will take the crown. She is a sexy African goddess who has a beauty that is not artificial - and she seems to be humble."

Top jazz artist Selaelo Selota said he was not impressed by any other girls except for the reigning Miss South Africa.

"The only person I am interested in is Tansey. I do not know much about the other ladies.

"I have read a few articles about Tansey and I liked what I read."

l The local beauty competition, Miss South Africa 2008/2009, will take place at the Sun City Superbowl on Monday night. Be there!
