Kaizer Chiefs' Nigerian striker Ibe-Zito Ogbonna is confident that his best is still to come.

Ogbonna, who has scored three goals in three games, said this ahead of their Premiership encounter against Bay United at the Olympia Park Stadium on Sunday (4pm kickoff).

He said he was still adapting at Amakhosi and believes that in a few months' time he will be at his best.

"I feel much better although I only played at Chiefs after a long lay-off through an ankle injury."

He last played in October in Israel, and his first game since then was against Wits.

"I'm here to score goals and not for entertainment. I'm also working hard to get used to our style of play, although it may take a bit longer for me acclimatise."

He pointed out that United held no fears for him but warned that Chiefs needed to be very careful because teams at the bottom were always dangerous.

Coach Muhsin Ertugral said: "It's better to play against Pirates, Sundowns or Swallows because I know them better, not Bay United. But the side is coming together and we're looking forward to a good game."

Siphiwe Tshabalala, Tinashe Nengomasha, Reneilwe Letsholonyana and George Lebese could see them collecting maximum points.

But United's stalwart defender Cyril Nzama believes the team is coming on well and that the spirit and confidence is high among the players.

He said the acquisition of Khabo Zondo as coach has brought some major changes in the team. "He is good at motivating and players have regained their confidence."
