The grieving father of an 18-year-old Diepkloof, Soweto, girl whose naked body was found in a hair salon says he has lost hope that the police will unravel the mystery of her death.

Shabutle Tabane, the father of Lenah Shamase, said he doubted that he would ever see justice done.

Shamase and 19-year-old Lebogang Mametsa's bodies were found in the salon in Zone 3, Diepkloof, on Sunday.

Mametsa was fully clothed but Shamase was naked.

Tabane said the family was in the dark about police investigations.

The police earlier said the two apparently died from inhaling fumes from a petrol generator in the hair salon.

"I don't know who the investigating officer is despite having been to the police station twice," Tabane said.

He said he had information about the teenagers' deaths that he wanted to share with the investigating officer.

"I have heard claims that my child was last seen leaving a party on Saturday with Lebogang," Tabane said.
