I totally agree with Black Consciousness Party president Nchaupe Mokoape on the relevance of black consciousness and the need for our people to work for total freedom (Sowetan, Monday).

Black consciousness will counter the moral degeneration, the rampant desire to accumulate wealth by any means and the exaggerated sense of entitlement that are turning our country into a paradise for the greedy.

Implement Steve Biko's legacy now. The BCP must challenge the current socio-economic situation. Black people have been misled many times. Hope the BCP will be different, and determined.
