The truth is that highly qualified members of the Sacred Heart staff reacted to the crisis immediately and did everything within their power to attempt to save Kefuoe's life.
Even after the emergency services arrived the teachers continued to provide CPR and were commended by the paramedics for their excellent response and expertise.
Mr Seakamela arrived at the end of the paramedic's attempts to resuscitate Kefuoe and there were a number of members of staff present, comforting him the entire time. Once Kefuoe had been pronounced dead the staff continued to provide support and solace to her family until the police photographer asked all of us to leave for a short while.
The family, staff, school chaplain and a local parish priest returned and prayed with the family. The family and staff then left so that the coroner could remove Kefuoe's little body.
During this time all other members of the Sacred Heart family kept away to allow the family to grieve and to be comforted.
The concert went ahead an hour later after expert advice that this would be in the best interests of all the children.

We have an active scholarship programme and a large percentage of our students are able to attend through the generous donations and the support of the fee paying parents. Kefuoe was one such child.
Children from Alexander, Soweto and other communities are welcomed at our school and we are one of the few private schools in our country where you would find it impossible to distinguish between the wealthy and the poor.
Families, including Kefuoe's, choose Sacred Heart because of its history of caring and concern for the wellbeing of our children.
