Afro Pop group Freshlyground will be performing in Kirstenbosch Gardens, Cape Town, on December 31.
One of the group's biggest shows ever was held in the same venue in 2002, which brought Cape Town to a standstill.
During a radio interview, the band's lead singer Zolani Mahola said: "Despite having travelled around the world, there are not many venues that inspire like Kirstenbosch.
"The band enjoys the mix of people that we get to see at this type of open-air performance in spectacular surroundings.
"It is an incredible, lucky bonus to be the band that inspires that kind of abandon."
Freshlyground, originally from Cape Town, have become a success both locally and internationally.
The group was recently nominated in the Best Group and Best Live Performers categories in the African Music Awards held in Nigeria last week.
They lost the Best Live Performer award to local hip-hop group Jozi.
