Umbelelebele Jomo Cosmos spokesman Ray Msibi has described Sunday's Top Lotto-Premier League of Swaziland Cup final as a perfect platform to settle the score with Mbabane Highlanders
The much anticipated match will be played at the Somhlolo National Stadium, starting at 3.30pm.
Dubbed the most successful side in the Land of the Pineapples, Highlanders beat Cosmos 5-1 in a Premier League of Swaziland match three weeks ago.
"That result is a thing of the past and we have already forgotten about that. On Sunday we are talking about a cup final, one mistake you are dead. We are looking positively to the final and to beating Highlanders," said Msibi.
Jomo Sono, owner-coach of South Africa's Jomo Cosmos, is the majority shareholder at the Umbelebele side he bought into in 2001.
The champions will walk away with R150000 while the runners-up will get R80000.
Quoted in the Swazi media, Highlanders head coach Francis "Mkhulu" Banda said "experience will be the greatest teacher" in Sunday's Cup final.
"We are not putting anybody under pressure but for us it won't be strange playing in a cup final. But you have got to know that a cup final is not different from a league game," he said cautiously.
Tickets for the game will be available only at the stadium at R30 a head. The gates will open at 8am.
Meanwhile crowd pullers Manzini Wanders and their cross-city rivals Swallows will play a curtain raiser earlier on the day.
Nkosi'ingiphile Dhlamini, cup committee spokesman, said though the two giants were knocked out earlier in the competition, they have been brought in to attract a much bigger crowd.
The winners of the curtain raiser will get R20000.
