Orlando Pirates are under pressure to maintain their recent incredible performances despite being minus five regular players.

They take on the equally depleted Ajax Cape Town in what is expected to be an exciting Absa Premiership match at Johannesburg Stadium tomorrow at 8pm.

The six players are Lehlohonolo Seema, Gilbert Mushangazhike, Lebohang Mothibantwa, Innocent Mdledle, Thulasizwe Mbuyane and Bennet Chenene.

Captain Seema, Mothibantwa and Mushangazhike are all serving a one-match suspension, while Mbuyane and Mdledle are injured.

On the other hand, the Urban Warriors will be without their chief scorer Sifiso Vilakazi and Sameegh Doutie, both serving a one-match suspension.

Pirates coach Rudolf Krol is confident they will still put on a good show despite missing the six players, who are part of his winning combination.

"Injuries happen all the time. What is important is how you deal with the situation, and I believe I have the solution to the problem," he said.

From Ajax's camp, assistant coach Wilfred "Silver Fox" Mugeyi said they were determined to make it two in a row against Pirates.

The two sides will meet again in a Telkom Knockout final at Chatsworth Stadium next Saturday where the winner will walk away with the R4,25million first prize.

Mugeyi said Ajax, who were hammered 4-0 by Golden Arrows in their last away game three weeks ago, will bring along a strong team.

Krol and Craig Rosslee, Ajax coach, are in a catch-22 situation on whether to field their players who are sitting on two bookings ahead of the final.

For Pirates, it is their inspirational midfielder Teko Modise whose place is expected to be taken by Thembile Kanono.

In the absence of Mushangazhike, Reason Chiloane, signed from GaRankuwa United, looks set to make his debut.

At Ajax, Brazilian Eduardo Ferreira, Clifford Ngobeni, and Mfundo Shumana have collected two bookings each.
