Speaker of the Limpopo legislature Tshenuwani Farisani, who takes more of his time advising people on safety measures to fight crime, has himself become a statistic of crime.
Part of Farisani's daily duties include discussing and coming up with punitive measures to curb crime, especially this festive season.
But Farisani has become a victim of crime three times this year after his herd of cattle were first stolen on two different occasions. Unknown people also broke into his house and stole flowers.
Four men aged 41, 50, 66 and 76 were arrested yesterday in connection with the latest incident. Spokesman for the Limpopo police Senior Superintendent Motlafela Mojapelo said the men were arrested after they were found at the speaker's house in Venda at about 5pm yesterday.
He said the men would appear in the Siloam magistrate's court on Wednesday on charges with of trespassing.
