While the spotlight will be on Sun City for the Nedbank Golf Challenge, the Limpopo Eagles Golf Association will host their year-end club championships on Sunday.

The event, which is expected to attract more than 100 golfers, will take place at Euphoria Golf Estates in Polokwane. Tee-off is at 9.30am.

"The tournament is open for all our affiliates in the province," said communications manager Pat "Fingers" Moyaha.

"The format for the day-long competition is individual stablefold in three male divisions and one category for our sisters and mothers.

"We are aiming high because it is the last official tournament we will be staging this year. There will be prizes galore. We will have television facilities so that during the intervals, our golfers will also be able to follow the developments in Sun City.

"The support that Limpopo Eagles has received this year has been awesome and we want to thank everybody who contributed to such a great 2008 for golf."

Some of the prominent Limpopo golfers who will be seen in action include Malebana Pataki, Zach Chueunyane, Jomo Mashiane and Marks Kekana
