Communications director-general Lyndall Shope-Mafole, who recently quit the ANC to join the Congress of the People says she does not have to resign her job as she is not serving the ruling party but the people of SA.
Shope-Mafole recently came under fire from SACP leader Blade Nzimande, who alleged that some proceeds of the un-bundling of Telkom's 50 percent stake in Vodacom had "found their way" into Cope's bank account.
