Nigeria striker Ikechukwu Uche hopes to secure a first team place for his Spanish club Getafe, after scoring in a 3-1 win over La Liga giants Real Madrid at the weekend.

Nigeria striker Ikechukwu Uche hopes to secure a first team place for his Spanish club Getafe, after scoring in a 3-1 win over La Liga giants Real Madrid at the weekend.

He came on as a substitute for the eighth time, having been in the starting line-up only twice this season.

"I just have to keep on working hard and training very very hard, and let's see what's going to happen," Uche told BBC Sport.

"All the players can't play at the same time, but everyone wants to play.

"I'm very happy scoring against a big team like Real, I'm happy not for me but for the team - without them one can't do anything."

Getafe are in 12th position in La Liga and are away to Villareal on Saturday for their next league match.

Meanwhile Chelsea have reached an agreement with Norwegian club Lyn Oslo in the dispute over the transfer of John Mikel Obi.

The Blues had issued a high court claim against Lyn and former chief executive Morgan Andersen in October in an effort to recoup the £16m they paid for Mikel.

But a short statement on the Chelsea's website on Monday confirmed that the matter had been resolved out of court. - BBC
