A beast will be slaughtered to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of Godfrey Moloi during the Godfrey Moloi Goodwill Games at Mapetla grounds on December 24.

Tournament organiser Brian Johnson said they have invited stakeholders and soccer lovers to come and celebrate with the teams on the day.

The tournament will be contested by 40 clubs and will be held from December 16 to 31.

"We would like to make this tournament a memorable one and also commemorate Moloi's death in grand style.

"Sky-divers, police and the military will be there and we're looking forward to a fun-filled day," said Johnson.

The launch for the competition will be held at Moloi's house in Protea Glen and participating teams are also invited on Saturday afternoon.

The draw will be conducted at a venue still to be named next Sunday.

Free accommodation will be available for teams from far out of town.

On December 26, the Top 8 featuring Masters will be played and the nearby netball courts will hosta netball tournament.

The affiliation fee for senior teams is R800 - the winner gets R30000 while runners up pocket R20000.

Best player, coach and the most disciplined team will be awarded.
