Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
Our Monday winner, Sylvia Lusenga, was caught by surprise last night when Sowetan called her to announce that she was R5000 richer.
Lusenga, 33, of Mamelodi in Tshwane said: "I bought four newspapers to maximise my chances of winning."
Even though she had entered the competition with four copies of Sowetan, when asked to read out her lucky number, the first one that Lusenga read was the winning number.
"I am so happy. I did not believe that I would actually win," Lusenga said. "I am going to spend my money on my twins, who turned one on Friday.
"I would like to thank Sowetan for making my Christmas."
The unemployed mother of four said she was so excited that she could not believe her luck. - Sowetan Reporter
