Police are searching for a Mpumalanga father after the brutal assault of a teenage boy who allegedly raped his 15-year-old daughter repeatedly at the weekend.

The incident occurred at Sun City, KwaMhlanga, when the victim was sent to buy cellphone airtime on Saturday evening.

The teenager and his two friends allegedly prevented the girl from going to the shop and instead took her to a nearby shack.

At the shack, the 17-year-old boy allegedly tore the girl's clothes and raped her, after threatening to kill her if she resisted or screamed, according to police.

Captain Mumsy Cibe, of the KwaMhlanga police, said that after raping the girl, the suspect allegedly ordered her not to move until he had left the shack.

"She got up and put on her clothes and shortly afterwards he returned and walked away with her," Cibe said.

"Along the way they were rejoined by his two friends.

"They took her to another shack where he allegedly raped her again before leaving her in the shack."

Cibe said the girl went home and alerted her father.

"He (father) hunted for the boy until he found him and severely assaulted him with an iron bar."

Cibe said the girl's family took her to KwaMhlanga Hospital where she met her seriously injured alleged attacker.

The suspect was arrested after police were called in.
