The fashion industry. Things are always happening.

Fashion is the storyteller of an era. It is more than clothes, shoes and bags - it's an art.

What led you into the handbag-buying field?

A love of accessories and handbags. No outfit is complete without accessories and they highlight one's personality.

What are the latesttrends in handbag design?

There are so many designs that are trendy for summer - bigger handbags, clutches, messenger bags and soft satchels.

But the biggest trend of all is the focus on quality because of the depressed economic situation.

What are the popular colours of the season?

From natural white tones and taupe to vibrant red, yellow and purple. It's a personal choice.

What are some of your most popular labels?

Carvela, Kurt Geiger, J Renee, DKNY and Furla are our most popular brands.

Are there any festive season specials you would like our readers to know about?

All our handbags are very special for the season. We introduced our new Carvela range this summer and they are at Spitz stores nationwide now.

Do your own personal preferences come into play when you are choosing what to buy?

To a degree, yes, but the important variable is to know who your customers are and what they are looking for.

With that in mind, you will buy from a customer's perspective.

Do you travel as part of your job?

Yes, because we source globally.

Do you stock imported or locally made handbags?

Our handbags are from all over the world.
