ANC president Jacob Zuma yesterday filed his replying heads of argument with the Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein in the NPA's appeal application.
The SCA will on Friday hear an appeal by the NPA against a Pietermaritzburg high court judgment by Judge Chris Nicholson.
The Nicholson judgment threw out NPA charges against Zuma of racketeering, money laundering, corruption and fraud-related to the multi-billion rand government arms deal.
Nicholson held that the state's decision to prosecute Zuma was unlawful because it had failed to take representations from him, but nevertheless granted the state leave to appeal.
Zuma's case was struck off the roll by Judge Herbert Msimang on September 2006.
