Future Boxing Promotions will stage its last tournament of the year on Sunday at Finetown Multipurpose Centre near Ennerdale.

Promoters Reggie Hilmer and Gordon Hope yesterday said their tournament comprises six male bouts as well as two female international fights.

Esthel Mshiye and Lillian Molala (both from SA) will host Zimbabweans Emily Kubwalo and Joan Muzari in middleweight and super middleweight four rounders.

"We are trying to show, once again, our commitment to the development of the sport which, we believe, is for the good of the country," said Hope whose consortium staged a successful amateur boxing tournament in September.

He said fight fans won't pay a cent on Sunday while Hilmer paid tribute to the department of sports, arts and recreation for its financially assistance. Action is scheduled to kick off at 1.30pm.

Meanwhile Jeff Ellis said it was all systems go for the "southern impact" - a seven-bout card that his African Ring company will present at Wembley Arena on Saturday evening.

His tournament features rising stars such as Jared "The Storm" Lovett, Hekkie "Hexecutioner" Budler, Victor Temlett, Jason Bedeman, Joey Stiglingh and Kyle Botha.
