The Miss World Pageant is not just about crowning a winner.
Glitz and glamour is part of it and you have to have the best fashion designers to dress the contestants and others attending the event.
African Romance will dress the top 20 Miss World entrants. Apart from dressing the lovely young women on the gala pageant night, the company will also dress presenters, continuity announcers, judges and some high-profile local and international celebrities.
Daphne Neethling, brand marketing director of African Romance, says Miss World has propelled the company to a point that we are only beginning to fully understand.
"This opportunity is so big for us that, for example, we have not yet grasped the immensity of the responsibility and spin-offs thrown up when two billion viewers throughout the world get to see your product," Neethling said.
African Romance was also awarded the Renault Formula 1 event and the reality series attached to Formula One earlier this year.
The company has exhibited its diamonds and jewellery at the K2C Mayor of London Fashion show at the V&A Museum in London, UN Catwalk, World Campaign, Munich Jewellery and Watch Show in Germany and the prestigious International Jewellery Show in London.
Also at Soccerex 2007 and 2008 in South Africa and local exhibitions Design Indaba, Mining Indaba, Tourism Indaba, Jewellex, Wedding Expo and others.
