MANCHESTER - Cristiano Ronaldo trained with his Manchester United teammates yesterday and now looks set to play some part in tonight's Champions League match away to Spanish side Villarreal.

Portugal winger Ronaldo was a doubt for the game after sustaining a leg injury during Saturday's goalless draw away to Aston Villa.

But he did not appear to show any ill effects during training yesterday and joined the rest of the European champions' squad on the plane to Spain.

Darren Fletcher also trained after missing the Villa game because of a knee injury.
