Man tied up, raped

A 50-year-old man was allegedly raped by another man in Doti village in Dutywa, near Butterworth, Eastern Cape police said yesterday.

A 50-year-old man was allegedly raped by another man in Doti village in Dutywa, near Butterworth, Eastern Cape police said yesterday.

Police Captain Lingisile Magama said the man was allegedly attacked by two men who tied him to a tree on Friday at about 9pm.

Magama said after the two left one of them came back and raped the 50-year-old.

"The man later managed to untie himself and went to the police station to report the incident," he said.

A rape docket has been opened but no arrests have yet been made Magama said. - Sapa
