The US's blue-eyed boys of jazz, Fourplay, are making a return trip to our shores.
The quartet will dazzle their fans at Durban's International Convention Centre on Saturday, December 6, before they head to Carnival City on Tuesday, December 9.
Although they started out as Bob James (keyboards), Lee Ritenour (guitars), Nathan East (bass) and Harvey Mason (drums), they lost Ritenour in 1998. He was replaced by Larry Carlton.
Boasting some of the finest jazz sounds, they have done well fusing R&B and pop in their hauntingly beautiful melodies.
The seasoned quartet have captured a niche market that just can't wait for their shows.
In 17 years and 10 albums, the quartet has continued to explore the limitless dimensions and permutations of jazz while at the same time appealing to a broad, mainstream audience.
For a memorable evening with the masters of great music, make a date with the evergreen Fourplay.
